The Chester Debate

Earlier this year we asked our listeners to discuss why Chester's footfall has dropped. The results of our online survey prompted Chester City Council to introduce a three month 'Free After Three' trial, with free car parking in two city centre car parks after 3pm every day.

At the end of the trial, Stephen Wundke of Chester City Council visited our studios to talk about where we go from here. Our listeners voted overwhelmingly in favour of keeping 'Free after Three' and the good news is it's being extended until 2009.
